San Mateo County has lowest unemployment rate in state

San Mateo County has the lowest unemployment rate in the state, at 3.7 percent, according to July [Web Link employment data] released Aug. 21 by the California Employment Development Department.

The real question is how many of these jobs are going to long-time residents (people who went to high school here) vs gentrifiers that are pushing out long-time residents.

I saw a help wanted sign at Chvez Market on 5th Ave. today, $12.00 hour to start.

There is no reason to be unemployed.
