Contractor's equipment started Aug. 11 grass fire near Webb Ranch

Fire Marshal Denise Enea of the Woodside Fire Protection District said she plans to talk with the land management department at Stanford University about fire-safety protocols when working in dry grass.

The grass fire itself is old news.

The point here is that the fire marshal wants to talk to Stanford about fire-safety protocols so this doesn't happen again.

Stanford needs to make sure that their contractors aren't mowing/discing dry grass when a stray spark can easily ignite and start a fire. Also, it appears that the mowing people didn't have basic fire-prevention equipment and supplies.
