You've still got it wrong Barbara. Menlo Park monthly meter usage was 16 UNITS a month, not gallons. A water unit is 748 gallons. Only off by a factor of about 750 times 16. If your original data was from someone at MP city hall then that person should be fired for not knowing the difference between gallons and units and days and months.

The mistake was all mine. The figures came from four spread sheets from Cal Water. I assumed the "average usage" line was daily per capita usage in gallons and did not check with Cal Water to make sure.
