Arizona man who burglarized Woodside home is sentenced

One of two Arizona men who flew to the Bay Area in 2012 with the purpose of burglarizing homes was sentenced Friday, Aug. 7, in a San Mateo County courtroom.

Pleads no contest to two felonies and a burglary and gets only 3 years? With priors? Our legal system is a joke.

Makes you wonder if they were paid by a disgruntled informant to rob the place, I for one don't feel too secure anymore.

Yes, our criminal justice system is a huge farce!!! If you serve on a jury you are wasting your time. Most cases end up being plea-bargained for expediency sake. To heck with the safety of the community.

It's frightening that recidivist burglar, Michael Wallen, will soon be out of jail, possibly as soon as today (Aug. 10) the news article says!!!

Will Mr. Wallen be returning to Arizona, or will he continue burglarizing homes here in the SF Bay Area?
