any follow up on the outcome of the police investigation of this accident that happened last year? Was the driver ever charged? What was found on her phone when the police executed a search warrant on her phone?

[Post removed. The driver was from San Carlos. We are checking but because she was a juvenile, the records are likely sealed.]

I have spoken to James Wade, deputy district attorney in charge of the juvenile branch of the district attorney's office. He said the matter has been resolved; but that because it involved a juvenile, who we earlier reported was a 17-year-old girl from San Carlos, no details of the case may be released. Mr. Wade said that is because knowing details of the case could make it easier to identify the juvenile.

Just to be clear - under California state law, all juvenile records are confidential and may be released only under court order, unless the juvenile is tried as an adult.
