Peter Carpenter is a registered user.
At the risk of raising the ire of the Almanac's Publisher (who always sees this concern as somehow inappropriate) please let us not forget about the impact of these recurrent train tragedies on the train engineers and our first responders.
These "survivors" and silent victims have to live with the memories of these events for the rest of their lives.
They have to take those memories home with them to their families.
Imagine exactly how each of them must have spent the last few hours since this unfortunate death.

Any collision with Caltrain means several hours of delay. We need to get serious about grade separations.

I'm sure no bathrooms would fall afoul of the ADA. There are plenty of elderly folks who need to use a bathroom at least once an hour or less and thus would be kept from using train service for rides lasting more than 30 minutes. And only a few stations have bathrooms.
If you've got to go, yah got a go. Clean the restrooms or clean the seats and aisles etc. Your choice CalTrain.
