X SMC Sheriff Deputy Colin T. Smith Sentencing Below the Radar.

Original post made by Michael G. Stogner, another community, on May 29, 2015

Today was to be another sentencing hearing for Colin T. Smith.

Hon. Judge Leland Davis III has allowed him to be out and about instead of up to 9 years in prison.

Today was an excellent example of equal Justice in San Mateo County

His own attorney Josh Bentley was not there.

The judge made a comment about the Prosecutor Office failing to file a doc with the Court, and they weren't there either.

Another continuance was requested and granted next court date is June 11, 2015

Also missing from the Court Room any reporter.

So this wasn't on the District Attorney's "Cases of Interest" list this week?

Remember the reason he is out of prison/jail right now is so he could go to his brother's funeral.

To have that request granted would be doing a convicted person a huge favor and it might look like out for the day of the funeral and a Sheriff Deputy keeping you company.

Hon. Judge Leland Davis III is much more generous, free as a bird
