Daniel Saver knows his stuff. But even he can't save Menlo from itself. The Palo Altofication of Menlo has been under way for too long.

I would like to see the City of Menlo Park make it easier for people, particularly seniors, to build small second units on their property. Not only would this help with the housing shortage but would also provide additional income. The fees are so high that it is nearly impossible to build these units. Second units benefit the city so a reduction in fees is warranted. Other cities have waived their fees to encourage second units but Menlo Park just keeps increasing the fees.
