District holds groundbreaking for new Upper Laurel School

On Thursday, May 21, the Menlo Park City School District held a ceremonial groundbreaking for its new third- to fifth-grade Upper Laurel School.

The neighbors feel that the district misled them about the size and shape of the new Laurel school. The front of the structure at Elliott is two level . The rest of the structure is hidden from view and the back of the structure facing OConnor is at least four levels!! The inside looks like a huge airplane hangar!! On top of that they raised the ground where the cement playground sits by anout 4 feet so the school sits like the Four Seasons at night. The neighbors' property values, light and air have been totally zapped down!
That is the truth and we are mad as hell

was this not presented in plans submitted to the city? I'd be surprised if it wasn't. If neighbors didn't bother to look at the plans, then this is the city or district's problem because?
