(Post removed. In Town Square comments, please don't assume that someone who is arrested is guilty.)

The article doesn't have details about how the wheels of justice will turn, but since the store employees did the right thing and got the shoplifters arrested, and the crooks were booked into county jail, that seems like a lot of things working the way they're supposed to. The overall crime has been dropping steadily for 25 years, so by every objective metric we're a much safer society than we've been in a long time. Congratulations to all of the people who worked together and did their jobs to catch and detain these criminals.

Man these idiots picked the wrong safeway to rob bottles of booze undetected. Sharon park safeway has only one aisle of booze and certainly shoppers must have known something fishy was going on. If your going rob booze at a safeway store pick another store with multiple aisles of booze like say the new safeway they built in mountain view?

Who would've figured Jose Jimenez a fictional character created and performed by comedian Bill Dana on the Steve Allen show was the only real name.

really? is a registered user.
It's always baffling to consider the net worth of their criminal activity. Is what they're going to jail for worth more than 2 or 3 days doing normal work? Crime is a lousy career choice.
'Liberal Porous Revolving Door System' Pppphffft!

Dumb kids, probably doing it for a party. Hope this completely embarrasses them. Hope they realize their stupidity and clean up.
