394 unit!! What?? Where are all of these cars going? All of the development in Redwood City and now this 394 units? Holy cow. Is anyone else around here raising their eyebrows to any of this? What used to take 10 minutes to drive to now is just under half an hour because of the traffic congestion. Time to move out of the area - Change is good, still its starting to feel as though we are living on quick sand.

Where are the cars going? In their garages since many of the residents in these units will work across the street at Facebook.

What are the details of their Tax exempt deals? are they related to any religious organization (St. Anton) that also get Tax- Emption??

In regards to car parking, I've seen the plans and they're very ingenious. As they're close to the Bay, each resident is given an inflatable platform, much like the military uses to building quick bridges with. The car is placed on the platform and floated out into the water. The platforms are tethered together with steel cables to keep all of the floating parked cars in a large group. This is managed by a series of valets who use small sea kayaks to get to the cars.

Thomas Paine IV: It's great if the majority of the Facebook employees will live nearby in the new development, but what happens when another company comes along and replaces Facebook, kind of how Facebook replaced MySpace. I worked at the current Facebook location when it was occupied by Sun Microsystems, which also occupied most of the buildings in Mt. View currently occupied by Google. Things change...

Didn't you just answer your own question ? The St. Anton will fill up with residents who work at whichever new company ends up occupying Facebooks current digs... The St. Anton isn't reserved for just FaceBookers but that's their most natural clientele today.

Are there any details online about the project? Such as how many stories?

Are employees of Facebook going to want to live here? Seems like most of them live in San Francisco and ride their private busses to Menlo. How many are going to give that up to live over 101?
