Menlo Park releases March 5, 2015 W Trans El Camino Real Corridor Study Report- Please take City Survey

Menlo Park has posted its consultant’s W-Trans March 5, 2014 154 page report analyzing current ECR conditions and three alternatives as attachment A. to to the Transportation Commission agenda:

The Expert Report’s summary Transportation rating of alternates showing scale ratings of the three alternatives and no Project as applied to Vehicle Travel , Bicycle Travel, pedestrian comfort and crossing and other factors included in the report is found here. Web Link

Those ratings show on a scale of 1-5 (2 =poor, 3=acceptable, 4=above average and 5=excellent)

No change in Vehicle travel on ECR (consistent 3)

Significant improvement in bicycle travel on ECR from 1 poor (Alt 1 six lanes) to 5 excellent (Alt 3- separated bike lanes)

Significant improvement in Pedestrian comfort and crossings from 2 poor (no change and Alt 1 6 lanes to 4 Above average (alt 3 separated bike lanes)
No change in transit users (a consistent 3)

decrease in on- street parking from 4 above average (No project) an 2 poor(alt 1 six lanes) to 1 Very poor (alts 2 and 3)

Significant improvement in Aesthetic Opportunities from 2 poor (alt 1- 6 lanes) to 4 excellent ( alt 3 separate bike)

Please take part in city survey of resident priority of alternatives. The survey is open until March 13, 2015
