Immediate changes to make Ravenswood train crossing safer

Original post made by Peter Carpenter, Atherton: Lindenwood, on Feb 27, 2015

While decisions are being made, plans approved and funding obtained for long term grade separation solutions what can be done NOW to reduce the risks of this grade level train crossing?

Here are my suggestions:
Eastbound Ravenswood at Alma - no left turn at any time
Eastbound Ravenswood parking lot entrance between ECR and train tracks - close access
Westbound Ravenswood at Alma - no left turn at any time
Westbound Ravenswood at train tracks - no lane changes once west of Alma
Southbound Alma at Ravenswood - no right turn at any time
Southbound Alma at Ravenswood - no left turn at anytime

For each of these changes there is an alternate route that can be taken to reach any destination.
