Filoli board relents on volunteer agreement, lets volunteers opt out of 'release clause'

Filoli's governing board on Thursday morning sent an email to all volunteers telling them that they would be allowed to "opt out of the release clause" of a new volunteer agreement that they had been told they must sign by March 1 if they want to continue volunteering.

it's not about 'unhappiness'. People know when they are treated badly -- and the poor attitude and behavior of the current Leadership towards the volunteer base has been ongoing for far too long. The 'email' is sterile, devoid of any serious attempt to reach out to the volunteer fellowship.

Many see this for what it is -- not a serious attempt at reconciliation. It is an attempt at damage control - not a genuine attempt to reach out to the volunteers.

The volunteers deserve a better Governing Board -- the people who sit on it know better. We trusted them.
