Memorial service for Dr. William Tarr, former Stanford football great

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church for Dr. William "Bill" Tarr, a former Stanford football captain who completed his college career in 1955 as the school's all-time leading rusher.

My thoughts and prayers to the Tarr family. I knew all three Tarr children and had the pleasure of coaching two of them in youth sports (Cinda/Cindy in LL baseball - 1978, and Mike in AYSO Soccer - 1978-1979). Very fond memories of those days.
