Menlo Park reports 10% drop in collisions

The police department's deployment of two fulltime traffic officers in 2014 contributed to a 10 percent drop in collisions, according to Menlo Park city staff.

What kind of collisions does this article refer to? Car-vs-car collisions? What about car-vs-pedestrian collisions? Are raw numbers available?
