You'll find that airplane types see themselves as an elite group beyond the cares and concerns of ordinary mortals.

Not at all. I think you'll find pilots have the same cares and concerns of most everyone else. After all, many of us live in the same towns and neighborhoods.
What you won't find amongst us pilots is the desire to delude ourselves that we live in the country with no aircraft flying overhead.

Dave - Why are you objecting to a report of factual data regarding aircraft noise that you have not even read?

Now hold on, maybe the high class people who pay to be shuttled around the world in their $65 Million Dollar Gulfstream G650. But most of the General Aviation public is not against trying to help out with the local communities. I am a licensed pilot who flies out of San Carlos (SQL) multiple times per week, and everyone does their best to keep clear of noise-sensitive communities. The instrument flights, such as Surf Air, have less flexibility. When possible though, they have been trying to experiment with different approaches to reduce noise, or the amount of exposure over each community.

Sky Posse is petitioning local officials to do something about the dramatic increase in aircraft noise over Palo Alto, and neighboring communities. If you are tired of all the noise, take a few minutes to visit Sky Posse's website and sign the petition.
