Tonight: Council to consider wider, safer trail along Alpine Road

Safety on the narrow trail along the south side of Alpine Road between Saddleback Drive and Hillbrook Drive has long been an issue in Portola Valley. The Town Council meets tonight (Nov. 12) at 7 p.m. at The Sequoias retirement community to discuss a wider and safer trail.

I hope the town will also consider a barrier where Portola T's into Alpine. That fence on the south side of the path has been taken out several times this year. Usually at night, but might catch people/horses/bike riders there at other times with terrible consequences.
