Parade of Fire Engines and Police cars on El Camino

Original post made by What was going on?, Menlo Park: Central Menlo Park, on Oct 28, 2014

Does anyone know what was the reason for about 20 fire engine vehicles, many police cars and all with sirens blaring and proceeding north bound on El Camino at around 11:10 AM today, Tuesday? It was obviously some kind of parade; they were not speeding but proceeding at a normal rate of speed.

I saw that parade on Ravenswood. It looked like every fire vehicle in Menlo Park plus some and included marked and unmarked police cars and police motorcycles, all with lights flashing and sirens wailing as they blasted through the Ravenswood Laurel intersection. There was no mention of it on the MP Fire Dept. log.

Surprised there's no mention in the news section here.

I stopped for them in Sunnyvale at 9a.m. at Bernardo and El Camino. Thank you for posting, since I couldn't find anything else online. I was worried that there had been a major accident, so I'm glad it was just a "planned event".
