What kind of a committee is Save Menlo this week?

Original post made by Peter Carpenter, Atherton: Lindenwood, on Oct 25, 2014

Save Menlo was originally established as a General Purpose Committee.

Then on Oct 1, 2014 they filed an FPPC report stating that they were a "Primarily Formed Candidate/Office Holder Committee"

I challenged that filing and Heywood Robinson responded:
"SaveMenlo is a ballot formed committee. SaveMenlo changed from a general purpose committee to a ballot committee in August when Measure M was officially put on the ballot. The Menlo Park City Clerk has the FPPC filing if you want to confirm this. SaveMenlo's volunteer treasurer checked the wrong box on the latest Form 460. Thanks for pointing out this error. An amended 460 will be filed today."

Now what did they claim to be on their latest filing? And was this another "volunteer"error?

The issue is not trivial because there are very different campaign reporting requirements for each type of committee.

Is Save Menlo a duck, a goose or an albatross?

Would Save Menlo please post a copy of their latest FPPC report so that we can know what type of committee they are?

Thank you.
