Case in point why I got a post office box 40 years ago. At the time, we lived out in rural West Menlo Park. Someone was working the neighborhood stealing people's mail from their mail boxes. A post office box is well worth the current $50 per year rental fee charged by the USPO, especially in these times of increased identity theft and criminal activity here in the SFBA. Having a post office box gives you peace of mind knowing your mail is being held safe and secure at the post office until you go in to pick it up.
