Tonight: Menlo Park Planning Commission studies Haven Avenue housing

Part of tonight's Menlo Park Planning Commission meeting will be dedicated to a study session on a proposed Haven Avenue apartment complex.

There should be below-market apartments included. Why does the council give developers everything they want? This complex is on a main artery and will result in much more traffic, especially for Marsh Road and 101 entrance.

Developers can pay fees into the BMR fund to avoid building BMR units.

This development will most likely be filled with young Facebook employees that bike or skateboard to work, so there will fewer cars on the road. The garage will be empty, as milennials often don't own cars.
