sure, ask the mayor why it costs so darn much to live on the peninsula. this city used to be a friendly little community. now the rich and well-to-do have taken over. what about all of this? is this a fair environment?

Love that the mayor offers to do this. It is simple transparency - a great way for local government officials to hear directly from folks in town. Keep up the good work Ray!

It's great that you are doing this. Grass roots contact with the day to day citizen can only result in a better understanding, for both the city and the residents. My hat is off to Mayor Ray Mueller.

randy albin - It's expensive to live here because the demand for our housing far exceeds the supply. I'm not sure Menlo Park's mayor can defeat the market forces we learned in Econ 101.
I recall that Joe Simitian used to do this. Kudos to Mayor Mueller for doing this - I wish every elected official would do the same!

Rich Gordon does it but he's a union tool, so who cares that he does it?

"office hours" being held by Mayor's is hardly a new concept for Menlo Park. I recall Chuck Kinney doing this and I believe many MP mayors have done this.

At a time when so many of our elected officials ignore their constituents, I'm happy to praise those who take the time to sit down and listen to us!

Chuck Kinney became Mayor in 1997, oldtimer, 17 years ago.
Back in the good old days right?
