I do believe this was predictable... hiring someone who had to commute for an hour each way, each day from the East Bay with no plans to move.
I hope the school board will choose more wisely this time and truly represent the best interests of the broader community by whom they are elected, rather than a few vocal parents and teachers (and the teachers' union which represents teachers, rather than the community). I believe this will be the fourth or fifth principal in the past seven or eight years for CMS. And the lack continuity and consistent leadership shows!
PV Board...please represent the constituency which elects you! We need a parent/community "union" to counter-balance the teachers' union.

I just have to ask, why were there were so many noticeable departures of quality staff from the school district this year? I am not sold on Superintendent Gonzales at all. She seems great at twitter and social media, but who cares really? If you read between the lines it looks like she is a terrible manager of people.

I don't know if Ms. Gonzales had anything to do with it but my daughter and I were really sad to see Julie Flyn leave the district this year. I will say morale seems really low right now.

Delighted to see the departure of Michael Corritone. Have every sympathy for his new school district, teachers, parents and students. If his resignation had been announced earlier, perhaps not as many CMS teachers/staff would have resigned this year?
Good luck to Ms Maijala. Plenty of wounds that need healing at PVSD.
