Save Menlo to ask City Council to throw them into the briar patch

Original post made by Peter Carpenter, Atherton: Lindenwood, on Jul 13, 2014

Plans are afoot for Save Menlo to appear before the City Council Tuesday night and ask the Council to adopt the deeply flawed Lanza/Fry initiative as an amendment to the Specific Plan. And when the Council wisely and properly refuses to adopt this flawed initiative the Council will then vote to place this matter on the November ballot for the wise voters of Menlo Park to decide.

Save Menlo will then "cleverly" blame the City Council for forcing this issue to go on the ballot.

Save Menlo is using Br'er Rabbit as its script -

"Br'er Rabbit pleads, "but do please, Br'er Fox, don't fling me in dat brier-patch,"

But the voters will realize that Save Menlo is just a fairy tale.
