Pro tip: lock your bicycles, even in your garage with the door closed. Thieves are stalking bicyclists to see where they live, then come back at night to break into garages.

Driving away with the gas hose still in the tank shouldn't cause damage since the hoses are designed to break free; it is easy to re-connect them. How do I know? I did the same thing and the gas station tried to charge me $100.00 I told them I'd call the police because I knew it could be re attached. Guess what, they quit asking me to pay and when I drove by 5 minutes later, the hose was reattached and being used.

I thought the entire gas pump was designed to detach, so then the driver would be more aware of his lapse and there would be more of an embarrassment factor.
