It sounds like Distracted was too distracted to not exaggerate. Time to take a deep breath and focus.

Re: Menlo Focus, just received by mail: Someone please tell Jim Cogan to let the shade of Vergil rest in peace! Mr. Cogan's article begins "To paraphrase Vergil's Aeneid, sales tax is a fickle and somewhat unreliable revenue source." Precisely where in the Aeneid is sales tax discussed? or what is the point of this paraphrase? and what is the average citizen of Menlo Park likely to learn from a vague reference to the Aeneid except that Mr. Cogan is the beneficiary of a little learning, which, as Alexander Pope observed (two can play this game), "is a dangerous thing."
