Kudos to the MA Bears for being selected to be part of the winning alliance!
That said, the other local team which also competed at the Sacramento Regional also did extremely well.
The Wildhats, Team 100, a joint team based at Woodside High School and including students from Woodside, Carlmont and Sequoia, also ranked highly at the Regional.
The Wildhats were awarded the Creativity Award, sponsored by Xerox, for their creative engineering. Additionally, the Wildhats were selected by the third-ranking alliance captains, Team 2671, Ironhorse Robotics from Fresno, and joined with them in inviting Team 1662, Raptor Force Engineering from Lodi, a selection made twelve spots earlier than the MA team.
The MA Bears and their robot deserve credit for playing well on the winning alliance. But perhaps our reporters could also ask about the "other" home team before this article goes to print.
