Another life ruined by the war on drugs.
Sure, he broke school rules and got himself expelled. But the police and courts should not be involved.

Agree with civil libertarian. This conviction will follow him for the rest of his life. I knew some people in college like this guy. They didn't get caught, all grew out of that phase of their lives, and went on to live productive normal lives. Mr. Mark on the other hand faces a much tougher road.
The war on drugs does more harm than many of the drugs themselves.

It does, however, make a TON OF MONEY for the private prison industrial complex. Here in CA, also gives inordinate power to the prison guards union, and is a way to justify ridiculous sums of money to a highly militarized police force, and also further erode civil liberties.
Just a win, win, win, win for everyone except you, me, privacy, and the Constitution.
