Thursday: Atherton drainage concerns focus of meeting

Atherton residents concerned about drainage problems in their neighborhoods or around town can voice those concerns at a community meeting that begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, in the Atherton Town Council Chambers.

i have lived in atherton since 1975... the corners along stockbridge and selby, as well as almendral and tuscaloosa have flooded on a consistent basis all those years. it is about time that something is done. as i write this, the corner of stockbridge and el camino is flooded. let's face it, there hasn't been any rain. imagine what happens when it does rain. having been traveling over the myriad of manhole covers along el camino, i am sure that there is a sewer system somewhere in the area. perhaps the town will be able to use that.
