Unions and Howard Jarvis Join Forces to Keep Democracy Private

This was the title of an article on the Association of California Healthcare Districts(ACHD) website. It voiced their opposition to SB 594 recently signed by the Governor. ACHD is funded by property tax dollars from my Sequoia Healthcare District and others around the state.

I supported SB 594 because it will make the source of campaign contributions from non-profits such as the San Mateo County Community College Foundation, Redwood City Education Foundation, PTA groups, etc. reportable. Without SB 594, tax deductible contributions have found their way into political campaigns.

Let the Board of Directors of the Sequoia Healthcare District know that you don't want your tax dollars used to support the ACHD. See:Web Link
