At 7:35 this morning, our son and daughter were walking on University Avenue between Rose and Valparaisao on their way to Menlo School. My son was bitten by a smallish white fluffy dog on a leash. He says the dog was shorter than his knees - he's 5 feet tall. The owner was a woman in a jogging clothes.
The owner stopped and was nice, apologetic, concerned, etc. but our kids forgot to ask if the dog's rabies shots are current. We are NOT upset about the dog or the bite, which is minor, but it did break the skin. We have no interest in causing problems for the owner- but we want to confirm that the dog is current on it's rabies vaccine.
The kids said they saw the same dog/owner yesterday morning (Thursday) - so this is probably a regular route. I"m sorry we don't' have a better description - after a full day of school, they've forgotten most of the details. agh.
