Local piano teacher behind band nominated for Grammy Award

Many solo artists and musical groups perform for decades without receiving a Grammy nomination. The Pacific Mambo Orchestra, on the other hand, was just nominated in the category of Best Tropical Latin Band for its self-titled debut album.

Christian Tumalan is a fantastic piano teacher and his students at Woodland School are elated to see him nominated for a Grammy. Music is a key component of a thriving arts program at our school. Way to go Mr. Tumalan!
