Like we needed another reason to not use Chase Bank.

This bank puts the "D" in "Dysfunctional", hands down. Amazing and incredible!!! Didn't know the woman at the window. A license without a photo. No policy in place for transferring such a large sum of money. The teller should have immediately gotten his/her Supervisor to handle this transaction. Just incredible!!! I can't believe such a dumb thing happened. Sure glad I don't bank at Chase. : (

This is an example of great customer service. What IF it was legitimate and the bank refused? Some institutions presume positive intent and provide the great service. Does anyone really think the $8.3k is going to be missed?

Obviously, the crook had more information than the story lets on for the teller to assist. Some people would lambaste Martin Luther King's good work if given the chance.

Inexperienced tellers at Chase in Ladera have been legion in recent years. The turnover of personnel there is amazing. Perhaps the branch is used for training.- When we first moved to Ladera in 1969, the location was a Savings Bank (Northern California??)where you got to know the people who remained there for years. Some of the neighbors worked there. - Matters went downhill when Washington Mutual took over and used the branch for training tellers, but the manager was the same for a long time. When Chase took over Washington Mutual the turnover of personnel increased. I know no one at the branch and do not expect the teller that served me last week to be there the next time.
