Woodside resident to receive Purple Heart on brother's behalf

==B Expanded version of an earlier story.== Woodside resident Teresa Dentino will receive a Purple Heart medal on behalf of her brother, Sgt. Merle Dentino, a U.S. Army sergeant killed by friendly fire during the Vietnam War. The noon ceremony at the Palo Alto VA medical center complex is set for Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11.

My heartfelt thanks to Sgt. Dentino and his family for serving our country. I'm so glad Sgt. Dentino is finally being awarded a Purple Heart medal. RIP Sgt. Dentino.

It is touching the government and military has not forgotten about those who lost their lives serving the country decades ago. I know the people of this country have not forgotten either. Thank you Sgt. Dentino.
