This is an excellent MOU and there is a superb staff report that describes the process and the MOU in detail.

This MOU states there are no increases during the 3 years of this contract.
Please tell us all if the salaries of this new contract are more than the prior salaries from the old contract. If so, how much?
The MOU "eliminates the mandated 70th percentile salary-survey" to other police departments on the Peninsula. Please tell us what percentile this contract will be?

George Roderick states specifically that “the cost to the town for police officer’s compensation is 2.6% less than the current contract.”
He also states that as other police departments negotiate their contracts, our percentile rating will not change the pay of the current police contact. He also says he does not know where the new contact ranks with other police departments and that ranking will change as new contacts and negotiated.
