THANK YOU FIREFIGHTERS -- for rescuing 100 people in a terrifying fire that broke out in the middle of the night.
This was a high-density building on a very busy street, and ladders were required for most rescues....the firefighters got elderly and disabled people out safely. One fatality, but it could have been much worse for the residents AND for the firefighters!
The firefighters earned their salary.

The Salvation Army on Veterans is taking donations for the fire victims.
