If we process those tarsands and ship that oil out of the country, its game over for climate change. Need to go full tilt on renewable, which drives oil prices down. Once they fall enough, it isn't cost effective to process tarsands.

China invested billions in solar.

Portugal recently got 70% of their energy from renewables.

Germany has over 1 million homes with solar.

Why do we listen to the "America Last" crowd that wants to stop progress, by stopping renewables?

It's misleading to talk about all the jobs that would be created by the Keystone XL pipeline. The State Dept says only 35 permanent jobs would be created after the initial construction phase. During construction, there would be tens of thousands of temporary jobs. Web Link The amount of long-lasting damage that would be done to the areas through which the pipeline would pass because of oil spills (Keystone is notorious for those) would far exceed any small benefit from job creation. Zuck's main issue is immigration. To get politicians to support his immigration platform, Zuck is bribing the politicians by funding advertisements for their other pet issues, like oil drilling. Who knows if this strategy is going to work. However, it does prove that Zuck has no morals.
