Further delay in opening Hillview playing field

The games must go on, in spite of the continued delay in opening the Hillview Middle School playing field, which has been booked by the Menlo-Atherton Grizzlies Lacrosse Club for season-opening games on March 2 and 3, and subsequent games.

Haven't Superintendent Ghysels and school board members been touting how Hillview has come in "on time and under-budget"?

And how many of our tax dollars are going toward a high paying salary for a facilities director? It made sense when the entire district was under construction. How do Mr. Ghysels and the board justify the salary now with just a field left to be built?

don't all those shining new facilities still need to be maintained lest they end up needing to be replaced before their time?

Yes, that's why there's a maintenance department. Ahmad Sheikholeslami's position is above and beyond this.
