Caltrain delays continue after train hits truck

Caltrain is experiencing system-wide delays this afternoon after a train struck a tractor-trailer on the tracks in San Bruno. No injuries were reported.

Please please please, do not ever stop your vehicle on the train tracks. Do not cross the tracks unless you can see there is enough room for your entire vehicle on the other side of the tracks. If the traffic light turns red while you are on the tracks for some reason, it is safer to run the red light than to remain stopped on the train tracks. Collisions like this should never happen if drivers are competent.

Aren't truck drivers supposed to have extra training and extra testing? I hope this driver gets his license pulled after this stunt.

Glad he didn't derail the train and kill the passengers.
