Over 40 years and 3 wars ago, 100 people attended a demonstration. What is the reason for this story?

How about some actual community NEWS?

The Almanac has regularly posted historic pictures from Menlo Park's past, thanks to contributions from the MP Historical Association Web Link I love seeing these historical snapshots showing how MP was years ago and what issues residents of our town had to cope with.
The SRI demonstrations are part of that history and the photo reminds us of something most up us had forgotten, if we ever knew.
I'm glad the Almanac continues to remind us of the rich history of our town.

I was a sophomore at MA at the time and we, of course, skipped class to see it.
