do people want to live in san mateo county? is there affordable housing in portola valley? this has been going on for too long around the bay area. get people's heads out of the clouds and be realistic about places to live that people can afford

Let's not forget that the real reason the 8 units were not put in at Blue Oaks was because the residents there did not want BMR's in their neighborhood. It may have something to do with complex topography and cost but those lots are not that steep nor complex that 4 duplexes could not easily be built there. PV's real mistake in all this was not requiring the BMR's to be built BEFORE any private homes, then we'd be done and have met our BMR obligation.
Let's also remember that the Windmill school proposal was a brilliant plan for the 900 Portola Road site, so it's not just suitable for small home development.
