Menlo Park axes tree plan for Bayfront Park

It seemed like a good idea at the time, but not any more: The Menlo Park City Council voted 5-0 on Tuesday night to axe a plan for landscaping Bedwell Bayfront Park despite winning a $350,000 state grant for the project.

Amazing to see sanity prevail in Menlo Park. It is a rare occurence.

can't even plant a bunch of trees around here without someone objecting.... sheesh!

The city-owned tree in front of my neighbor's house died a year ago - it is standing there, leafless. Hopefully they will replace *that*.
