Atherton: Lewis files for re-election to council

With only one week left before the filing deadline, Elizabeth Lewis filed papers today (Aug. 3) to run for re-election to the Atherton City Council, making her the only official candidate.

Great that Lewis is running. She represents Atherton well.

Expect McKeithen to run. She is pushing for a town vote on the Town Center project for November, along with Little League, and the Library. She also wants to change Atherton to a Charter City to make it easier to raise taxes.

I am delighted that Elizabeth is running. She does, indeed, represent our citizens well. I am not encouraged about the prosepct of our existing council having more ability to raise taxes, I do have to say...
