Portola Valley schools: looking for more cuts

The 2012-13 budget is balanced, with $2.1 million in spending cuts, but the Portola Valley School District board and staff members are still trying to find other ways to trim costs so a now-empty reserve can be at least partially replenished.

hmmmm... let's take from the teachers who give endlessly to our children and give more money to administrators???? something is not right.
taking away classroom aids, taking away school days, taking away Spanish - Administrators- do you still think you are providing a stellar education and creating "21st century learners"?
suggestion: have an outside consultant look at school culture, school climate, use of time, use of tools, use of faculty/staff and do what is needed to be effective and efficient.
