I don't think that reporting on this, with names and details is appropriate for the Almanac. While I don't care so much about the privacy of the perpetrator, his daughter and wife deserve some consideration. It looks as if they have gone through enough. Printing such details in the paper probably so that others can see what they have endured just adds to the trauma that they have experienced.

I disagree. For those who have been on the wrong end of a perp, it is a relief (and empowering) to know both who this person is and that he is being prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
I would hope to see the same sort of information posted regarding the article posted yesterday (4/10) by Ms. Brundage: "When Background Checks Miss the Mark."
Particularly since this is a person teaching children.
Failing to share this information makes it easier for the perp to get a new assignment around children, elsewhere. Think: Catholic Church.
You can't cure a pedophile, but you can profoundly limit his access to children. There should be no protection for people like this.
