When I saw the headline, I was sure you were going to say that McKeithen's reign of terror must end! I feel cheated! Have you calculated the legal fees, the personnel costs and the complete decline in civility that has mirrored her "reign" as a council member? I think she might be the cause, and there is no evidence yet thatshe is the cure. She should be term limited out- just as she campaigned for term limits when she first ran.

I believe Ms.McKeithen has become unhinged and obviously needs professional help. I am serious and not making a joke.

No I would think it would be appropiate for her husband or family to do that. I would also think the Mayor and other council members might help given the uncomfortable and embarrassing outburst as it obviously was not right or rational. I feel sorry for her as a person.

I attended the council meeting, and don't recall that Ms. McKeithen mentioned a police raid on her home in her statement. In a telephone interview, Ms. McKeithen said she did not refer to such a raid.

Meanwhile, the Almanac is looking into some of the matters Ms. McKeithen cited in her statement for an article that will be published soon.

It appears that the Almanac is now requiring posters to be Registered Users before they can post to this chain. I implore the Almanac to go even further. I urge the Almanac to require that all posters to all articles be Registered Users. Further, I urge the Almanac to require that all Registered Users be required to use their legal names.

I suspect that these despicable ad hominem and ad feminam attacks, posted by cowards because they have the protection of anonymity, would cease. This policy change by the Almanac would significantly improve the quality of public dialogue and discourse, while celebrating the First Amendment.
