The plan would generate "an additional 2,766 residents and approximately 4,850 additional employees" and "close to 25,000 daily trips". Compare that with Facebook's 0 residents, 5,800 net new employees, and 9,606 net new daily trips. Given how much Peter has complained about Facebook, it certainly seems like "Ravenswood/ 4 Corners" would create a Fire District impact, right? Think again:
"...the MPFPD will receive increased property tax revenues from the development in the project area that will provide a source for funding the necessary additional personnel. The Fiscal Impact Analysis performed for the Specific Plan indicates that at full buildout, the Fire District will receive an additional $475,000 in property tax. This measure would ensure that the Plan is self sufficient, and that adequate, long-term funding for the expansion of fire and emergency services would be made available and the impact would be less than significant."
Peter, I'm assuming you'll be treating East Palo Alto the same way you've treated Menlo Park?
Not to mention, even if every new "Ravenswood/ 4 Corners" employee is also a new resident of this area, that's 2,084 employees who presumably want to live in Belle Haven. Sounds like a housing affordability impact...
