Remembering Marion Softky from Almanac's early days

Marion Softky and I were colleagues for 35 years. She started working for the Almanac in 1969. I came aboard six years later.

I am so sad to hear of Marion's passing. Jane, I don't know if you remember me, I worked at the Redwood City Almanac and then the Country Almanac in the '80's. I don't know what made me look up the Almanac today. I'm glad I did. I think about all those I worked with back then often. I know that her son, Ed, preceded her in death. I hope they are together somewhere. I do hope it was not a long illness. Thank you for writing this memorial. I will be thinking of her and the rest of her family.
