Jeepers - I guess you can't even leave a day planner visible inside your car at our Civic Center (which is right near the police station).
Time to clean out our cars!

This is news? If so, how come it wasn't major local headlines when I found a police ticket book and called the cop who owned it?

The most interesting thing about the ticket book incident is that the deputy was later dismissed for spousal abuse. That made the news.
I'm glad that there are Good Samaritans, but most of them go unnoticed.
